Greenfield Arts have enjoyed a season encouraging creativity and playfulness.

We opened our doors to celebrate the annual ‘Open Art’ exhibition. This year the preview evening took on a playful theme offering exciting opportunities to get a taste for the arts and take part in a range of activities. The evening welcomed artists and tutors who demonstrated their craft taking inspiration from ‘Play’.

The evening was a great success with over a hundred people coming along to see the preview and take part in the taster sessions.  Mixed Media artist Sharron Bates was on hand to play with collage materials and create wonderful pieces of art. Spanish tutor Daria Coates demonstrated a love of language, through creative learning with games and exploring Spanish delicacies.  There was also a chance to meet artist Richard Bliss who spoke about the ‘The Quest for the Perfect Shirt’, Richard is a groundbreaking artist in the field of identity and gender stereotypes.

The evening was a great start to the annual 'Open Art Exhibition' and formed part of the season of play which was reflected in courses, activities and projects and underpinned the spring season.
